How does BACK-TRACK work?
BACK-TRACK is worn on a waistband and it monitors when you are walking, when you lean forwards, when you are driving and other posture related movements. If you exceed a threshold - such as stooping to the floor, or twisting to pick up something, the device detects this and will give you a small vibration nudge. You will soon learn to anticipate this and so will pause and consider if you can perform the task in a different way. The important thing is to try to minimise those activities that cause your BACK-TRACK to vibrate, as this leads to increased wear and tear on your back.

Is BACK-TRACK suitable for everyone?
Yes !
BACK-TRACK is a training aid and alerts you if it thinks you’re putting avoidable stress on your lower back due to your lifting and handling technique. It detects some of the common risk factors that are common in a work environment.
BACK-TRACK is also suitable for those working in an office environment who spend long periods sitting. A lot of back pain is actually a result of inactivity. BACK-TRACK is helpful as it will monitor your activity and nudge you if it thinks you should move !

Does BACK-TRACK have to be worn on a waistband?
Yes.
BACK-TRACK is worn on a waistband adjacent to your hip bone. As you lean forwards (ie pivot about this point), the BACK-TRACK detects and can therefore monitor a number of movements from leaning, stooping and twisting.
